The 7th of May 2022 has arrived and the hard work of members, that started with the first sowing of seeds back in January is about to bring rewards for the Laleston Gardening club, Eager gardeners queue outside awaiting the 10pm opening when they too can enjoy the fruits of the months of hard work to bring this amazing display of plants to the residents of Laleston and surrounding areas. Followed up by Tea and cakes in the historic picturesque Cliff Cottage.

Laleston Gardening Club 50th Anniversary.

Due to restrictions in place at the time of the show a large area had to be left in the centre of the hall which would normally have been filled with colourful displays provided by the members of the club.

On the 4th and 5th of September Laleston Gardening Club celebrated it's 50th Anniversary, pictured above shows the arrival of special visitors the Mayor Cllr John Spanswick and Cllr Huw David Leader of BCBC. They both enjoyed the displays, refreshments and meeting some of the 180 members there on the day. They both enrolled in the club and are now members. To see pictures from the event click Here

Olympics 2012

The 2012 London Olympic torches were carried through Laleston by Mitchell and Steffi Allen on the journey through Wales.

The Laleston Village Fete was held at Cliff Cottage and Blandy hall on Saturday 24th of June 2023.
The fete was officially opened by Deanne Adams on a beautiful sunny day, with a host of attractions for the hundreds of visitors who attended.  This if the first Laleston Village Fete for four year.
